Sand Point is a sandy beach protected from rough winds by a small forested peninsula. Seastacks loom in the distance. Otters play on the rocks. This is the only beach I can almost always find a sand dollar on my beach walks. To get here, there is a lovely, well-maintained, three-mile boardwalk trail. The only advice I can give you here, is to make sure you are wearing grippy shoes in case it rains. Boardwalk + rain = high falling probability. Also, be sure to bring snacks and water. Once you get there, you won’t want to leave. This is my mom’s favorite beach.
